City Council's Committee on the Environment holds a hearing at 10 a.m. today in Council Chambers to explore ways to improve the recycling program at Philadelphia International Airport.

Committee chairman James F. Kenney has said the airport's recycling program for passengers is woefully inadequate.

Kenney's committee, along with the Economic Development Committee, will also hear testimony on developing a "Green Job Corps" to support local green businesses and contractors. The city has been developing new regulations requiring environmentally friendly policies in construction, among other areas.
