Gasoline prices still going up; national price at new record
The cost of gasoline in Southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey hit new highs for 2008 today as the national average reached an all-time record.

The AAA Mid-Atlantic auto club said the per-gallon average in Philadelphia and surrounding counties was up a penny overnight to $3.20. The South Jersey price was also up a cent to $3.01.
All-time highs for gas in the region were set in September 2005 at $3.36 a gallon in Southeastern Pa., and $3.17 in South Jersey, the auto club said.
Diesel hit records today of $4.14 per gallon in Southeastern Pennsylvania, and $3.88 in South Jersey.
National prices hit new all-time highs again - $3.27 per gallon for gasoline; $3.91 for diesel.
