YSP Classic Rock
QNow that it turned to classic rock do they expect any lineup changes jockwise? I like Frank Lario and didn't know if they'd keep him mornings.

The station manager says Frank will remain but they are looking for a morning show. The format is not purely classic rock, by the way. Here's my article about it.

ANo, though he's done some work for VH1. Beauty of it is: He doesn't have to find a new job yet. Clear Channel has to pay him something like $6,000 a week till next June.
LaBella Cucina?
QWhat happened to LaBella Cucina? I see in today's column that its being replaced. My wife and I loved eating there and will miss it.
AIt ran out of gas, and the owners decided to sell. It's a large parcel -- 2-plus acres. Sorry, but I don't know the previous owners' whereabouts.
FM sports talker
QWith all of the talk of WYSP flipping...again, What are the chances of WIP going to the FM dial? Are the ratings good enough?
AAll the talk of WYSP flipping is pretty much just talk. Management has told me that rock will be the station's future.

Miss Jones in the morning

She was on a month-to-month contract, and the station didn't think it was working out. The Beat is going with a music show spun by Jay Ski for now. By the way, there's been a rumor around that BET is doing a reality show about her. A spokeswoman for BET told me that's not true.
YSP
QWhen WYSP flips to Classic rock will the airstaff remain or are they starting over again.
AIt's not fact. WYSP is only considering a flip, and classic rock is one of several formats on the table (classic hits and a version of talk, to name two others I've heard). The staff depends on the format. If it's classic rock, I'd think they'd keep a couple on-air people, especially the longtimers.
Rock Lobster?
QWhat happened to Rock Lobster this season? Why did it not open for the summer?
AIt's mired in litigation over the previous operators.

QWhat is the latest on Vince? He hasn't been on the air since his vacation.
