Sarah Bloomquist
QDuring a noon broadcast regarding cheap wedding dresses this week, Rick Williams from WPVI kept hinting to Sarah that she should look there ... did she just recently get engaged? Also, how does the morning news with Matt O'Donnell and Tamalia Edwards compare to Rick and Sarah? Tam is a little flat for Matt.... Thanks!

q102
QThe latest rating seem to show q102 sinking pretty fast. Where are they losing ground at? Wired seems to be passing them in the right direction what do you think is going to happen. I think they should have kept Booker around
charlie, chadds ford, PA 11/10/08
A
First the "good" news for Q102: If you compare its target demo of persons 18-34 from Oct 07 against Oct 08, its overall rating was off only marginally and its cumulative audience was flat. Its midday share was down but the audience was a touch higher, and its afternoon numbers are flat. The bright spot is nights, as the share was up.
The bad news is mornings. Since Q102 canned Booker to clear the way for Elvis Duran, morning ratings have tanked. Comparing Oct 07 vs Oct 08 among persons 18-34, the market share was about half and the audience size was off 20 percent. If you compare May 08 against Oct 08, ratings are off by 34 percent and the audience was off 50 percent.
The station just got a new program director, who has to work with the cards that her corporate masters have dealt her, including Elvis and most likely Ryan Seacrest. It's all about the economy.

Chickie's & Pete's coming to Willow Grove?
QI heard that Chickie's and Pete's is coming to Willow Grove at the old Bennigan's location just off the Turnpike. Is that true?
Jeff, Willow Grove, PA 11/04/08
APete Ciarrocchi says it's not so.

Danny Bonaduce
QWhat does YSP see in Danny Bonaduce? Can't see he will produce ratings.
Charlotte, Havertown, PA 11/04/08
AWYSP sees instant name recognition. As we all know, Philadelphia radio has a habit of recycling people through the market. (How many stations has Barsky been on, for example?)

Fox's Dave Huddleston
QWhere did Fox's Dave Huddleston go? He and Dawn Stensland made a great news team! i don't like they way their news is now with Thomas Drayton on there! Also, I've noticed alot lately that Dorothy Krysiuk isn't wearing her wedding ring - is she still married?
Anonymous, NJ 10/28/08
AI Googled my clips to answer your questions: Dave Huddleston's contract at Fox29 was not renewed in June; here's the
most recent story. The Dorothy Krysiuk missing-ring answer lies in the middle of
this column from August. Krysiuk's last day at the station will be
Friday. Her contract was not renewed.

Why is Dorothy leaving?
QMichael,
I hear Dorothy Krysiuk is leaving
any chance she is going to another
station or getting out of the business for awhile?
Ed, PA 10/21/08
ACheck my blog,
http://go.philly.com/insider. Her lawyer told me today that after seven years on mornings, Krysiuk "decided to seek another opportunities" and that her last day will be Oct. 31. My reading: Her contract was not renewed and she's open to something else. I've heard over the years that she wants to report.

Philadelphia area radio ratings
QWhere do you find on the internet the Philadelphia area radio ratings. When I look at Arbitron's ratings website, Philadelphia is not a market they list.
Jerome, Lansdale, PA 10/20/08
NBC10 Weekend Mornings
QDoes John Blunt and Lynn Berry still anchor the morning news together? I never see them on at the same time anymore.
Anne, NJ 10/19/08
AJohn Blunt has been out for about a month after knee surgery and is due back late next month. Lynn Berry is on much of the time, but she (as does Kristen Welker) gets "borrowed" by MSNBC.

q102
QDo you think there will be major changes at q102 with a new program director and ryan seacrest being syndicated it seems like no ones could be safe there. What do you think
chris, coatesville, PA 10/18/08
AConsidering that Q102's ratings are off considerably, I'd think some personnel moves are inevitable.
