Michael Klein writes about local people, places, and things three days a week in his column INQlings and contributes on video as "The Insider" on Philly.com. He also writes about the restaurant scene in his column Table Talk.
tolly
That's absolutely correct. He has a show from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
Majolica: Phoenixville
Do you know what happened with Majolica? I just heard they are closing after this weekend? :(
Yes. The economy has done them in. See my blog post here.
Jeff Skversky
No deception. In a rare move of hiring someone who had face time on another Philadelphia station, 6ABC hired Skversky a few weeks ago. He interned at 6ABC awhile back.
WPHT
Have you heard if WPHT plans to start carrying Fred Thompson's show after he succeeds the Radio Factor starting next week? I really hope not!
Holiday ratings for WNUW
I did a back-of-the-envelope analysis of the November-December-Holiday books in INQlings on Feb. 3. The January numbers are due next week. I largely ignore the weeklies because they're .. weeklies.
How soon ?

Diego
Diego could be on his way back to Chio's side, as I suggested when Q102 released Diego. The only rub is that Justice and Diego are not quite interchangeable parts. Justice was Chio's producer as well as his sidekick. Diego's main skill is playing the wiseguy/fool/foil/man on the street, not the traditional producer's roles of booking guests and running the show.
Justice
You can check my blog entry at http://go.philly.com/insider for the story. Although I think Diego may end up again with Chio, I don't think it's one-for-one trade. Justice was Chio's producer, and Diego is more of a man-in-the-street/goofball show character.
