QI have a realtor she sold my house, and was also helping me find a home. Settlement is in two weeks. I have to kids and it's like she has turned her back on us and I have no were to go. How do I find month to month rental for now.
A
You might want to contact the agent's broker or the state real estate commission and file a complaint. You might be able to delay the closing until the agent finds you a place. After all, you have to sign the papers.
QMy family would like to sell my grandfather's house in Philadelphia. He died in 1965, his will was never probated, so the house is still in his name. The will has been misplaced. There are 3 living children, plus families of 2 deceased and I understand the proceeds of the home would go equally to all 5. Is it necessary to retain an attorney to have the home sold since it is still in my grandfather's name?
thank you
AYes, a lawyer would be most helpful. Contact the Philadelphia Bar Association for names
QDue to improperly installed ventilation fans in my two bathrooms, steam has been venting into my attic rather than outside. The result is mildew (dark, powdery substance- I assume it's mildew and not mold) on the inside plywood of the roof. Do I need to remove the mildew since it is not in a living area? If so, what is the best way since I have insulation in the attic as well as areas that are difficult to reach? Thanks
AI wouldn't worry about it, especially if the problem has been corrected and the attic ventilated (and the insulation hasn't been affected)
QAl,
My mom has a huge butterfly bush that has taken over her front yard. She would like me to take it out. Would it be okay to transplant it into my yard? If so, what is the best way. Thank you!
A
Spring is the best time to move them, so I'm told. But they can be transplanted. You can always cut them back before it takes over the yard
QI just bought a house. We are interviewing contractors to remodel the kitchen. What do I need to ask them and what can I do to ensure I get a reasonable price?
A
First, have a plan in mind before you start calling contractors and make sure you ask them all the same questions.
Try to get costs broken down and make sure that the contract you sign with the winning bidder is specific down to the model numbers and colors. Starting date and completion date
