Eagles coach Andy Reid confirmed through a team spokesman that Reid has spoken to guard Shawn Andrews about Andrews' absence ffrom training camp for what agent Rich Moran said were personal reasons. Reid confirmed that characterization, but did not say the absence was excused. Andrews apparently will be fined.

Eagles guard Shawn Andrews will not report to Lehigh with other veterans tonight,. agent Rich Moran told Eagletarian, but Moran said a report tying Andrews' absence to his contract is false. Moran said Andrews has been in touch with the Eagles and is dealing with a personal matter.
