Eagles-Cowboys: Game time, how to watch and stream

The Eagles will take on the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on Fox Sunday afternoon in a must-win game if the team has any real shot of defending its Super Bowl championship.

Calling his fourth Eagles game this season is veteran Fox Sports analyst Troy Aikman, making it the eighth time in 12 games a former Cowboys player has called an Eagles game (Daryl Johnston called two games, while Michael Irvin and Jason Witten have called one each)

Earlier this week, Aikman revealed he’s been frustrated with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on Dallas sports talk radio over his decision not to welcome former Cowboys head coach and current Fox Sports studio analyst Jimmy Johnson into the team’s Ring of Honor. While Johnson’s tenure as Cowboys head coach during the 1990s was short-lived, he is credited with turning around a franchise that won two Super Bowls during his tenure (and a third just two seasons after his departure).

"Disloyalty ... I couldn’t handle the disloyalty,” Jones told ESPN back in 2014, explaining the reason why he has refused to give Johnson the team’s highest honor.

“This is the Cowboys Ring of Honor. It’s not the Jerry Jones Ring of Honor, it’s not the Tex Schramm Ring of Honor, it’s the Cowboys Ring of Honor,” Aikman said, who played for Johnson for five seasons.

It’ll be interesting to see if Aikman will push for Johnson further and mention his beef with Jones on-air during today’s Eagles-Cowboys matchup in Dallas. Bringing it up on national television in front of millions of football fans would certainly put a fair amount to pressure on Jones to respond or reconsider.

End Game, hosted by Marc Farzetta will wrap up the day.

As far as local network pre-game shows go, FOX 29 will air Fox 29 Gameday Live at 10 a.m. (featuring Bill Anderson, Gary Cobb, Kristen Rodgers, and Howard Eskin) and CBS3 will air CBS3 Sunday Kickoff at 10:30 a.m. (featuring Don Bell, Lesley Van Arsdall and Pat Gallen). NBC10 will air Eagles Gameday Kickoff at 9:30 a.m. (hosted by Danny Pommells) and Eagles GamePlan at 10 a.m. (featuring John Clark, Ike Reese, and Mike Quick).

Other games airing in Philadelphia

With the Eagles playing in the late afternoon slot, fans in Philadelphia will have the chance to enjoy two games kicking off at 1 p.m.

On Fox, the New York Giants head down I-95 to take on the Washington Redskins, a game that could have significant playoff implications if the Eagles manage to defeat the Cowboys. Chris Meyers and Daryl Johnson will call the game for Fox.

The other game airing at 1 p.m. features the Baltimore Ravens at home taking on the Kansas City Chiefs on CBS. That game is being called by Jim Nantz and Tony Romo.

What to know about the Eagles

• Eagles cornerback Jalen Mills is officially out for the season, reports Zach Berman. Sidney Jones and Rasul Douglas will remain as starters.

• Linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill apologized to Doug Pederson for trash-talking the Cowboys. “It’s a rivalry game. I didn’t think too much about it,” Grugier-Hill told Les Bowen.

What to know about the Cowboys

• Amari Cooper is a major reason for Dallas’s turnaround, writes Paul Domowitch. In five games with the Cowboys, Cooper has 30 catches for 425 yards and three touchdowns.

• Zach Berman wonders if the Eagles can actually stop Ezekiel Elliott this time around. Last month, during the Cowboys’s victory against the Eagles, Elliott ran for 151 yards.
