Penn senior offensive lineman Joe D'Orazio, a first-team All-Ivy selection last season, yesterday was named to The Sports Network Preseason All-America third team. He was the only Ivy League player selected for the honor.

As a junior, D'Orazio started all 10 games at center to help guide Penn to the 2009 Ivy League title. The Bryn Mawr native led an offensive line that allowed the fewest sacks in the Ivy League, giving up just six in the final nine games.

Villanova, the defending FCS champion, had the most players on the first team with three - senior wide receiver Matt Szczur, senior offensive tackle Ben Ijalana and senior linebacker Terence Thomas.

Penn officially begins preseason practices the final week of August and will begin its season on Sept. 18 against Lafayette at Franklin Field. The Quakers will then head to the Main Line on Sept. 25 to take on Villanova.
