PMN, Les Bowen, Philly.com receive APSE awards

PHILADELPHIA Media Network's Phillies preview section, "Why We Love Baseball," was named in the Top 15 in special sections in this year's Associated Press Sports Editors contest.

Staff writer Les Bowen received a top-10 award for breaking news for his story about the hiring of Eagles coach Doug Pederson. Further judging will rank Bowen's story in the top 10.

In the APSE's digital contest, the philly.com sports section received an honorable mention in the category of sites with more than 2 million unique monthly visitors. Philadelphia Media Network owns the Daily News, Inquirer and Philly.com.
