Union pursuing Real Salt Lake goalie Seitz
Late last night, Philadelphia Union CEO and operating partner Nick Sakiewicz admitted that the team is pursuing 22-year-old Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Chris Seitz.
Seitz, a member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic team, is considered one of the country's top goalkeeping prospects. Sakiewicz said negotiations are ongoing, and he is awaiting league approval from the MLS offices.
"We have been interested in Chris," Sakiewicz said. "We feel that he along with fellow goalkeeper Brad Knighton [selected in last week's expansion draft] will make a solid fit to our goalkeeping."
