West Phila. 38, Penn 0: Robert Andrews ran 19 times for 133 yards and two TDs. The defense also tallied twice on fumble returns by David Brown and Ayub Ferron. Brown recovered two of Penn's seven coughups. Duane Coppage got things started with a 70-yard TD run. Yusuf Jackson had an interception. Penn's Anwar Mathis passed 7-for-15 for 135 yards, mostly to Chris Sullivan (3-44) and Lawrence Inman (2-55).
Lincoln 41, Fels 8: Omar Black scored on punt returns of 33 and 61 yards and Ernesto Garcia ran eight times for 50 yards and three scores. Joe McCausland added a TD toss to Hakeem Cooper. Fels tallied last on Marc Prompt's 42-yard pass to Jamiel Hines.
Southern 12, Mastbaum 6: Shaquille Gaskins accounted for both scores while generating 84 yards of rushing/passing. His score covered 2 yards and his pass to Sean Allen went 10. Allen added 49 rushing yards. Mastbaum's Tyree Walker opened the scoring with a 70-yard fumble return. Jacob Lockley had a pick, as did Gaskins.
Germantown vs. Furness: cancelled.
Edison vs. Boys' Latin: cancelled.
CORRECTION:
Father Judge junior Bill Swallow, a defensive lineman, was inadvertently omitted from the list of second-team Catholic League coaches' AAAA honorees in yesterday's Daily News.
