Miller, Vanak lead Sabres' win over Isles
Derek Roy and Paul Gaustad also scored to help the Sabres rebound from a 5-0 loss to the Islanders Saturday on Long Island. Miller was solid throughout, and rarely allowed any rebound opportunities. The Sabres have the stingiest defense in the NHL, allowing only 24 goals in 12 games.
"We did a very sound job pushing the puck up the ice, and we didn't give up anything that was too dangerous," Miller said. We want to be a team that's in control."
Former Sabres and Flyers goalie Marty Biron made 36 saves for the Islanders.
