He also faced them in 2007, when he allowed six runs in just 1 2/3 innings of a 11-4 loss ... Bailey was 3-5 with a 4.57 ERA at Triple A Louisville before he was promoted ... The Reds recalled RHP Robert Manuel from Louisville to fortify their bullpen.

Phillies update: Lopez had a solid showing in his first big-league starts in nearly 2 years, holding th Mets to two runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings Friday ... The 33-year-old righthander gave up both runs with one out in the seventh before leaving with a 7-2 lead ... It was his first win since July 7, 2007, when he pitched Colorado over the Phillies ... Lopez' last start against the Reds came on June 3, 2007, when he allowed four runs on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings in a Rockies' win ... The Phillies entered last night having won 17 of their last 25 games against the Reds, outscoring them 145-96 in that span.
