Schedule set for Philly Hoop Group Classic
The format is changing a bit, but the Philly Hoop Group Classic will be back at the Palestra on Thanksgiving weekend for the third consecutive year. Temple will play two games that weekend after playing two earlier games in the four-game hybrid "tournament."
Temple is going to play at Delaware and will host Siena at the Liacouras Center in the early stages of the Classic, according to coach Fran Dunphy.
At the Palestra, Dunphy expects that his team will play St. John's and Virginia Tech on Friday, Nov. 27, and Saturday, Nov. 28. Those exact matchups have not been finalized, but those are the dates.
Siena, Delaware and Brown also will be coming to the Palestra that weekend. Siena will probably be in the night games with Temple, Virginia Tech and St. John's. Delaware and Brown likely will play in afternoon games against opponents to be determined. *
