Just as the Stanley Cup is known for making the rounds with the winning team, the Phillies will take their World Series trophy to area schools, recreation centers, malls and special events, where fans can see firsthand what was earned in the 4-1 Series victory over Tampa Bay.

One of the special events will be the 105th annual Philadelphia Sports Writers Association's Award Dinner on Jan. 26 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, N.J., where Charlie Manuel will be in attendance, along with Brad Lidge, who will be honored as 2008's Outstanding Professional Athlete. Tickets for that event are $75 and can be purchased online at www.pswa.org.

In other Phillies' news, as expected, shortstop Jimmy Rollins was named to the U.S. roster of the World Baseball Classic.
