Sources say Central Bucks South running back headed to Temple

Four members of Temple's freshman football class played in last month's Big 33 all-star game, including the MVP, linebacker Adrian Robinson, of Harrisburg High. Now it appears the Owls actually might have had five participants.

That's because highly recruited running back Eric Reynolds, of Central Bucks South High, apparently was released from the national letter of intent he signed with Boston College. And his new destination, according to published reports, will be North Broad Street.

Temple officials aren't allowed to comment until all the paperwork is completed. But sources familiar with the situation have confirmed that Reynolds is expected to enroll for fall-semester classes this week.

Since Reynolds never enrolled at BC or attended any classes there, he would be eligible to play for Temple this year. And given the Owls' need for more help at his position, he could even be an immediate factor.

Last season, the first-team all-stater rushed for 2,814 yards for a team that finished 11-1. At 5-10, 195 pounds, he averaged 10.7 yards per carry and scored 38 touchdowns. *
