ESPN Radio to take air on WPEN
"When you have the opportunity to partner with the biggest name in sports, ESPN, you don't pass it up," station manager Bob DeBlois said yesterday.
The "Mike & Mike" show also can be seen on ESPN2.
The current morning show featuring Glenn Foley and Michael Bradley will end, with Foley leaving the station and Bradley "hopefully" staying on in a different role, DeBlois said.
Further lineup changes are expected. The affiliation with ESPN Radio also means that WPEN can broadcast play-by-play of the NBA playoffs, baseball playoffs and World Series, and the college football national championship game.
WPEN already airs Sunday and Monday night football, the Super Bowl, the Final Four and Villanova football and basketball. *
