Vote Today!

HOW'S THIS FOR PRIORITIES? Far more people will have gone to a World Series game in the last week than will likely vote in today's election in the city.

That's good for baseball, but for democracy? Not so much.

With a hotly contested gubernatorial race, New Jersey may see far more activity than we will here in Philadelphia. But we have a few important races, for district attorney, controller and a number of judicial seats. Because of a snafu, a referendum to fund $65 million worth of city projects was left off the ballot.

We endorsed Seth Williams for district attorney, citing his years of experience in the D.A.'s office.

For controller, the incumbent, Alan Butkovitz, should keep his job watchdogging city finances.

We did not make endorsements in the judicial races, but, as a reader service, provide these picks by the Inquirer:

For Supreme Court: Joan Orie Melvin (R).

Superior Court: Robert J. Colville (D),

Anne E. Lazarus (D), Judith F. Olson (R) and Teresa Sarmina (D).

Commonwealth Court: Kevin Brobson (R) and Linda Judson (D).

I most certainly will not vote for a single Democrat. They've ruined this city with their patronage jobs, corruption and incompetence.

If you lived in Delaware County, you could say the same sentence only switch Republican for Democrat. Vote for the candidate, not the party. Its the only way either of them improve.

The best way to Vote in Pa and Democrat run corruption in the NE is to move. Take your money and tax dollars to other states that appreciate your work ethic and bank account. Born in Philly....But got to Texas as fast as I could!! Sure some will joke it up. Have money to watch you perform. Yuk it up while the Unions and Donkeys kick you in the pockets.

"Vote for the candidate, not the party. Its the only way either of them improve." --- I was presented with only two choices yesterday. I'd rather vote for the unknown in the Republicans than the known with the Dems. I do not live in Delaware county. I live in Philly and was speaking about Philly politics.
