Ex-Gov.-to-be Palin
Ex-Gov.-to-be Palin

Barbie goes fishing

TINA FEY'S brilliant parody of Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live" has now been surpassed by . . . Sarah Palin.

The first indication that Fey has met her match came on July 3, with Palin's breathless, incoherent statement - punctuated by honking ducks - that she would resign as governor of Alaska only halfway through her first term. To do . . . well, it's not clear.

But Palin's series of interviews with the evil mainstream media on Monday clinched it. Dressed in fisher-person waders as she hauled in a salmon catch, Palin strung together words - and even created a few - for media outlets that could make for a dozen classic comedy routines. Check them out on YouTube.

But don't laugh too hard: A USA Today/Gallup poll Tuesday found that 72 percent of Republicans would vote for her for president in 2012. *
