Letters: Outrage at the insult of kidnapping hoax
THE DAMSEL-in-distress report of a kidnapping of a white mother and child by blacks was not only false but racist.
This woman should be charged with discrimination. Do people actually realize how much distress this caused the black community? And to demonstrate how unimportant she believes black men are to Philadelphia police, this damsel charts off to Disney World with her child.
Unfortunately, this false report probably caused police to make many illegal stop-&-frisks and illegal arrests, all under the guise of probable cause. But if you want a thorough response from the police, now we know what has to be done.
