GOOD WITCH
But the party she may be destroying is the state GOP, which is watching as hundreds of thousands of voters switch party registrations to the Democrats. Since the year began, the state has recorded 102,113 new voters who registered as Democrats and 132,688 previously registered voters switching to the Dems.
In addition to swelling the voter rolls, having two candidates criss-cross Pennsylvania has allowed our usually ignored citizenry to hear the candidates and let the candidates hear them. Barack Obama recognizes this is a positive. It gives him a chance to show he can win, or at least close the gap, in a state where political power-brokers like Gov. Rendell and our own mayor have been early Clinton boosters. And if Clinton cleans up, what does that say about the Obama magic?
It's clear why Democratic leaders calling for Clinton to withdraw aren't themselves running for president.
They aren't tough enough. *
