Adele 'Dale' Kaczynski, former TWA flight attendant

Adele "Dale" Barthold Kaczynski, a former flight attendant for Trans World Airlines who married a pilot, died Oct. 7. She was 76 and lived in Naples, Fla., but formerly lived in Torresdale.

She was born in Philadelphia to Charles and Erna Barthold. She graduated from Germantown Friends School, attended Centenary Junior College and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

While working for TWA she met and married a pilot, John Kaczynski. They lived on Long Island, N.Y., for several years before moving to Westfield, N.J., where they lived for the next 17 years.

While living in Westfield, Dale was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Theta alumnni group, the Pilots' Wives Club and Westfield Service League. She was also a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

She moved to Naples, Fla., in 1978. She was active with Greater Naples Panhellenic and was a member of the vestry of St. John's Episcopal Church. Her husband died in 1986.

She is survived by her children, Pam and Bill Blankenship, John and Rebecca Kaczynski, Charles and Lori Kaczynski and Erna and John Anderson, and six grandchildren.

Services: Memorial service was held Oct. 12. Burial was in Naples Memorial Gardens.
