Jailed Pagan, 57, found dead in cell

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A member of the Pagans Motorcycle Club accused of bringing explosives into West Virginia has died in custody.

A prison official said Charles Harmon Nichols, 57, was found unresponsive Saturday in his cell at the South Central Regional Jail. The official said the man known as "Tombstone Charlie" appears to have died of natural causes.

Nichols was 6 feet 2, weighed 375 pounds and had several health issues.
