Cops: Wounded robber dumped
MONKTON, Md. - Pennsylvania State Police said that a woman found with a gunshot wound at a Maryland gas station had been shot during a botched robbery.
An employee at a gas station in Monkton spotted the woman lying in the parking lot Friday night and called police. Baltimore County police said that she'd been shot in the back and was bleeding.
Pennsylvania police said that the woman and someone else had tried to rob a Shrewsbury, Pa., jewelry store at gunpoint. But the store owner pulled out a gun and shot the woman in the back.
Police haven't identified the woman, who is believed to be in her 20s. She was hospitalized.
Police believe that the woman's accomplice was a man, and they said that he dropped her off at the gas station.
