It's 15th DUI charge and he admits it
MORRISTOWN, N.J. - A New Jersey man whose driver's license has been suspended 78 times over 22 years has pleaded guilty to his 15th drunken-driving offense.
Shaun Campbell, 40, told a judge in Morris County that he was drunk on beer when he crashed his SUV head-on into a pickup carrying a man and his 4-year-old daughter in April. They were not seriously injured.
The East Rutherford resident admitted that his blood-alcohol level was .288 percent, more than triple the state's .08 percent level.
Campbell still faces drunken-driving charges in Pequannock and Wayne. Prosecutors are seeking a maximum prison term of more than two years. *
