Teen argues, mom fires shot

BANGOR, Pa. - A Lower Mount Bethel Township woman is accused of firing a shot into the ground near her teenage son's feet.

Police say Dawn Lynn Hogan, 35, was arguing with her son in front of her home on Monday and went into the house to get her 9mm handgun. Police say her son continued to argue and she fired a shot, but didn't injure him.

Hogan faces endangerment and weapons charges. She was held in the Northampton County Prison yesterday in lieu of $15,000 bail. *
