Wheres, whens & hows of voting today

Today is Election Day, with the governor's race in New Jersey attracting the most attention.
Polls in New Jersey open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. For a list of registered polling sites, visit www.njelections.org. Any voter who experiences problems at the polls can call 877-658-6837.
Philadelphia
In Philadelphia, meanwhile, you can expect no lines, no waiting at most of the city's polling places in an off year featuring races for district attorney, city controller and judgeships. City election officials expect turnout in the 10-to-20 percent range.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
Generally, identification is not required. But anyone voting for the first time, or voting at a new address, should bring identification to show election officials.
If you're not registered to vote, you're too late for this election.
If you are registered but need help finding the right place to vote, you can call city election officials at 215-686-1590. Operators will be standing by.
For those who already know their ward and division (printed on voter-registration cards), long lists of polling places were published in yesterday's Daily News and Inquirer, among other publications.
More serious problems will be handled by the District Attorney's Office. Its Election Day hot line is 215-686-9641.
Unofficial polling-place search tools are also maintained by the Committee of Seventy, at www.phillyvoter.org. The watchdog group is also running an Election Day hot line at 1-866-OUR-VOTE (687-8683).
One polling place in the 55th ward was changed yesterday by court order. Because of electrical problems, the 14th division polls were moved from 3032 Unruh Ave. to the Lower Mayfair Recreation Center, at Robbins Avenue and Hawthorne Street.
