Task force targets 19 for guns The city's Gun Violence Task Force has arrested or obtained arrest warrants for 19 people charged with illegal transfer or theft of handguns, District Attorney Lynne Abraham, state Attorney General Tom Corbett and Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey announced. Since it began in December 2006, the task force has opened 1,108 investigations involving the illegal transfer of firearms, made 324 arrests, and seized 654 firearms. »Read story
