Can 'Frozen' teach your toddler science? There's an app for that

DISNEY JUST can't let it go.

The publishing division and Imagicademy of the Mouse House, which has turned synergy into an art form that would make Pixar jealous, announced yesterday that it would create apps for a "Frozen: Early Science" series, featuring characters from the "Frozen" movie.

"We are excited to introduce early learners to another educational concept in a fun and uniquely Disney way," said Disney Learning exec Jeff Sellinger in a statement. "The 'Frozen: Early Science' apps bring together Frozen's hugely popular story and characters with an early sciences curriculum developed in conjunction with education experts and academics. The goal of DisneyImagicademy has always been to inspire children's natural curiosity, and what better subject to do that with than science - where discovery and experimentation is at the heart of learning."

Science? If Olaf the Snowman starts melting due to climate change, there's going to be hell to pay at the Iowa caucuses.

One of the titles in the series is "Reindeer Care," in which children work alongside Kristoff, Anna and Sven as they groom, diagnose and care for baby reindeer.

Well, that skill will come in handy when the children need a job.

Featured on this year's cover are singer Chayanne, actress/producer Eva Longoria, actress Kate del Castillo and TV presenter Alejandra Espinoza.

New faces in the issue include singer Becky G, "Orange Is the New Black" actress Dasha Polanco, the Disney Channel's Sofia Carson and "Jane the Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez.

"You don't have to get naked to be beautiful and sexy, you don't have to reconstruct your looks to fit into society, you don't. You make society fit into you," said Rodriguez.

The Los Angeles Times reports that "Roots," the 1977 miniseries based on Alex Haley's best-seller, is going to be remade and will air as a limited series on three channels - A&E, History and Lifetime - in 2016.

Original Kunta Kinte LeVar Burton will co-exec produce with Will Packer ("Ride Along," "Think Like a Man"). It will be written by Lawrence Konner, Mark Rosenthal, Alison McDonald and Charles Murray.

The new series is expected to expand on Haley's book and incorporate new research.

* Laura Linney, one of the finest actors of her generation and a three-time Oscar-nominee, is joining the cast of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2."

The Hollywood Reporter says Megan Fox and Will Arnett are back for the sequel, which will also feature Stephen Amell ("Arrow") and Tyler Perry ("Madea").

Rounds has filed for sole custody of their adopted daughter, Dakota, 2, claiming that Rosie is too lax a parent. She claims it's not about money and USA Today says she's prepared to walk away from their prenup in return for full custody of Dakota.

A Rosie rep told "Entertainment Tonight": "This is an absurd and desperate attempt to use a child for her own gain."

* E! News reports that graffiti artist/vandal Katsu, commandeered a Phantom drone to draw huge red lines across the face of Kendall Jenner on a giant Manhattan billboard for Calvin Klein.

That's probably just the use they were invented for.

* Britney Spears has hurt her ankle and has been forced to cancel some Las Vegas shows.

Gee, it's not like she hurt her voice.
