Because if Tastykake shakes weren't enough, the Cooking Channel, celebrating its first birthday, will roll its Frozen Treat Truck Tour 2011 up to Reading Terminal Market from noon-5 p.m. Wednesday. Ben Sargent, a/k/a the Brooklyn Chowder Surfer, of "Hook, Line & Dinner," will be on board, and Bassets Ice Cream will supply the requisite frozen treats. Sargent's show airs at 10:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

_ The locavore movement heads to your local A&P, Pathmark, Superfresh and Food Emporium supermarkets with a new line of chicken, turkey and beef products from Mid-Atlantic Country Farms - a group of family-owned farms that use "humane and sustainable farming methods, reducing the environmental impact of shipping food products over long distances," according to A&P. Chicken products are antibiotic-free and raised by local farmers across Pennsylvania. Beef comes from more than 140 family farms in Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. Mid-Atlantic farmers also use vegetarian feed. Earlier this summer, A&P localized its seafood selection with the Local Day Boats Program, which "connects stores with local boat captains and co-op operations so that shoppers know where their seafood comes from."
