Dan Gross: Hillary-Fabian: A love link
SOUTH PHILLY-BORN crooner Fabian Forte says it was "f------ incredible" that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said during a speech Friday in the Philippines that she'd had a crush on him.
According to NYMag.com, Clinton was asked, "If you had a crush, aside from Bill
Clinton, who would it be?" She replied that "Many, many, many, many years ago, when I was young, there was a singer in the United States whose name was Fabian," and that she had been president of the Fabian Fan Club.
"I thought it was beautiful," Fabian told New York magazine's Dan Amira yesterday while cutting trees at his home in western Pennsylvania. "Being a politician, she got herself out of that one pretty good."
Fabian, who still performs regularly with Frankie Avalon and Bobby Rydell, must not have been offended by Clinton's statement that he was a singer,
and says he's a fan of hers, too.
"The reason why I'm really a fan of hers is that with all she has been through, she comes out great . . . I mean, she's an incredible woman. You know, she's got bigger balls than most men out there," said the former teen idol.
Roker grateful for Danny defense
94 WYSP's Danny Bonaduce
yesterday came to the defense
of "Today" weatherman/co-host Al Roker, who was dissed by "The Hills" fame-whore Spencer Pratt. After Pratt and wife Heidi Montag were bumped
from a "Today" appearance, Pratt went off on Twitter about Roker and Roker's wife and children.
Anyway, Roker, a pal of Danny's, called into the show after yesterday's broadcast. His taped interview will be heard on this morning's show and also online at 94wysp.com/danny.
Roker thanked Danny for defending him, and joked that he would help raise Danny's legal defense fund after the Broomall native "Partridge Family" alum pledged to assault Pratt on Roker's behalf if he ever met him.
