Tattle: Kate Moss in hot water over dietary comment

KATE MOSS IS on the hot seat again, but to her mind, at least it's a small seat.

Eating-disorder experts criticized the waifish Moss yesterday after the superdupermodel cited as her motto a phrase used on Web sites that encourage girls to avoid eating.

In an interview with the fashion Web site WWD, Kate said one of her mottos was "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."

As opposed to Tattle's motto: "Nothing tastes as good as a dinner someone else is paying for."

Mary George of British eating-disorder charity Beat called Moss' words "very unfortunate."

"Comments like this make it even more difficult" for young people struggling with an eating disorder," she said.

Model Katie Green, who is campaigning to stop the use of ultra-thin models, told the London Sun that the comments were "shocking and irresponsible."

Hey, Katie, at least Kate didn't say, "Nothing tastes as good as the cocaine I rub on my gums to test its purity."

Moss' modeling agency, Storm, said, of course, that Kate's words had been misinterpreted.

"This was part of a longer answer Kate gave during a wider-ranging interview, which has unfortunately been taken out of context and completely misrepresented," the agency said in a statement. "For the record, Kate does not support this as a lifestyle choice."

Speaking of eating disorders (at least former ones), Nicole Richie has been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital and is being treated for pneumonia. Her representative says she's doing well.

Richie gave birth to a soon-to-be-teased son, Sparrow James Midnight Madden, in September. She and her partner, rocker Joel Madden, have a daughter, Harlow, who turns 2 in January.

general, Amy Winehouse was hospitalized in London.

It was originally believed that she had been felled by complications with medication, but her father, Mitch Winehouse, said on his online show, "Showbiz Rant," that the problem was leaky breast implants.

"It wasn't because she had a cold," Mitch said. "She's fine, she just had a little leaky something or other."

An identified friend of Amy's told Britain's Daily Mirror: "She saw something oozing out of her top. To see stuff seeping out was horrible."

But the leaking and oozing has left Amy undaunted. She's thinking of going under the knife again.

"Amy loves her breasts," said an unidentified source. "She can't stop touching them and showing them off to friends. She says she feels womanly again and wants to be more curvy like she used to be. She thinks by having another operation and bum implants that she will achieve her dream pin-up look."
