The TLC reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8" attracted 9.8 million viewers Monday night for its fifth-season premiere, more than double the audience for its fourth-season finale.
The couple acknowledged in the show that their marriage is in trouble but lashed out at all the media coverage.
"I did not sign up for a public scrutiny of everything," said Jon.
