Out and about

CBS 3/CW Philly staff turned out to help Carol Erickson launch her children's book, "Not a Used Dog, At All," Monday at Ristorante Panorama (Front & Market). Susan Barnett, Chris May, Natasha Brown, Pat

Ciarrocchi and Jim Donovan, along with fellow meteorologists Kathy Orr and Doug Kammerer and general manager Jon Hitchcock toasted Erickson.

Also joining in the celebration was Dr. Jerry Geffen, her partner on CBS 3's "Ask the Vet" segment. Proceeds from the book, illustrated by CBS 3 graphic artist Jeff McCloskey, about a family adopting a shelter dog rather than buying a puppy from a pet store, benefit animal shelters, including the Pennsylvania SPCA.
