Dan Gross: Harry Hairston is checked after crash - then grilled
While headed to a story location, Hairston, an NBC 10 producer and cameraman were rear-ended by an 18-wheeler on Roosevelt Boulevard. All passengers were taken to Einstein, but we're told that nobody was seriously hurt.
When we reached Hairston Friday he confirmed the incident and said that he found the behavior of the security guards "unprofessional and insensitive." Hairston says that he had no idea what they were asking him about. "The only question I asked anybody was 'Are my co-workers gonna be OK?' " Hairston told us.
Hairston said that NBC 10's LuAnn Cahn came and picked up her stranded colleagues, whose NBC 10-marked Ford Crown Victoria was totaled in the accident.
A message left for Einstein was not returned over the weekend.
Pam's dress from David's Bridal
On Thursday, millions tuned in to see Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski) get married on NBC's "The Office." The episode, one of the funniest in recent memory, featured a few dresses by Conshohocken-based David's Bridal, including Pam's gown from the Galina Collection ($399) and her bridesmaids' silver dresses ($145). On a side note, whoever at the show decided that Jim should no longer stare at the camera with that stupid look 12 times per episode: good work.
