Dan Gross: Bonaduce helps in finding the top cocktail
'I THOUGHT HE was on the wagon," whispered guests at Philadelphia magazine's Let's Do Cocktails competition Thursday at the Loews Hotel when they saw 94 WYSP's Danny Bonaduce swilling cocktails with abandon.
Indeed, the Broomall-born Bonaduce has publicly struggled with alcohol and drug abuse, but he talks about drinking on the air.
When we told Bonaduce about the stir he was causing, as he judged the contest accompanied by fiancee Amy Railsback, he joked, "I don't drink. I only use it to wash down the pills."
Fox 29's Jennaphr Frederick, KYW 1060's Hadas Kuznits, 95.7 BEN-FM's Marilyn Russell, attorney and BorgataTV.com host Erin Elmore, former "Next Food Network Star" contestant Katie Cavuto Boyle of Healthy Bites Catering, and Your Humble Narrator were among those joining the former "Partridge Family" star in judging the contest. The Pirassununga 51 Cachaca Triple Orange Caipirinha and the Absolut Mango Tango were judges' choice and guests' choice winners.
* Speaking of Bonaduce, he just appeared on the season premiere of DUTV's "In Bed with Butch." Bonaduce and host Butch Cordora taped the interview in the bed of Bonaduce and Railsback's Old City condo. The guys wore smoking jackets and talked about steroids, anger-managment issues and infidelity, of which Bonaduce is familiar.
Pink's mom is very proud
Pink's mom Judy wore a red cape with "I'm the Mom" ironed onto it to her daughter's sold-out show at the Wachovia Center Saturday night, according to her daughter's Twitter post. Pink, aka Doylestown native Alecia Moore, showed no signs of her recent shoulder injury as she descended to the stage on a circus rope and stayed in constant motion throughout her lengthy set.

'Top Chef' gets serenaded
Brotherly Love, an ensemble part of the Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus, serenaded Jennifer Carroll, chef at 10 Arts by Eric Ripert at the Ritz-Carlton, after the group dined there the other night.
Carroll, who's taking no prisoners on Bravo's "Top Chef" this season, came out to greet the group after their meal, and the guys gave her a standing ovation and spontaneously busted into Billy Joel's "The Longest Time," getting their own applause from the dining room.
