who recently experessed interest in the Massachusetts Senate seat vacated by Edward Kennedy's death, was in town over the weekend. Schilling and pals enjoyed two bottles of wine, tenderloin tips and mushrooms, pork chops and trout at City Tavern (138 S. 2nd) Saturday night. Schilling paid the bill, tipping generously.

Shalhoub was on US Airways' Flight 36 from LAX to PHL overnight Friday/Saturday. He flew coach.
* "Real Housewives of
New Jersey" Caroline and Dina Manzo danced it up at Bob Pantano's Beach Bar party at the Atlantic City Hilton Saturday night. The sisters and a few of their co-stars from the Bravo series had appeared earlier at their own event at the hotel, taking questions from the audience and talking about the show. Caroline tore up the floor with Ten Pennies florist Ann Catania and West Deptford Mayor Anna Docimo when Pantano played Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline."

Congratulations to Carrie Nork Minelli, director of public relations at Cashman & Associates, and Dino Minelli, the GM at Public House (18th & Cherry), who welcomed their first child, Carolina Grace Minelli, Sunday. The little lady weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces, and mom and baby are fine.

When the NBA season starts next month, former Sixers PR manager Pete Sousa will be pregame, halftime and postgame host and sideline reporter for all Charlotte Bobcats games for WFNZ, the team's flagship radio station in Charlotte, N.C.
Specter greets hockey kids
Seven young hockey players from the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation bumped into U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter at Amtrak's 30th Street Station yesterday. Specter was en route to Washington, while the students were heading up to the NHL Store, in New York, with Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger and Bruins goalie Tim Thomas.

Tasha Jamerson, former reporter for Fox 29, WHYY, and briefly at NBC 10, is now working as communications director for Seth Williams, the Democratic candidate for district attorney.
'Humble' Bob wins

Royersford's "Humble" Bob Shoudt took the crown in a Cincinnati chili-spaghetti contest on Labor Day. Shoudt, a professional eater with the International Federation of Competitive Eating, swallowed 13 pounds, 9 ounces of the dish in 10 minutes, defeating three-time Wing Bowl champion Joey Chestnut, who's a good friend of his. Shoudt won $2,500 in the contest, held at the Kings Island amusement park. Former Wing Bowl champ Sonya "Black Widow" Thomas ate 11 pounds of the chili spaghetti.
'Star Trek' actor at Franklin Institute
LeVar Burton, who starred on "Star Trek: The Next Generation," will be at the Franklin Institute tomorrow taping a new PBS show called "Science Trek."
They'll shoot at the museum's "Star Trek" exhibition, which runs through Sept. 20. His show premieres in November.
