Dan Gross: Dad's death brought Willis, family, ex to town
IT WAS a sad occasion that brought Bruce Willis to town for the holiday weekend.
His father, David Willis Sr., died Thursday at age 79. He lived in Penns Grove, N.J., where the actor was raised. Bruce Willis; ex-wife, Demi Moore; their three daughters - Rumer, Scout and Tallulah; Moore's husband, Ashton Kutcher; and Willis' new bride, Emma Heming, were all in town for the funeral services, which were held Sunday.
Willis, Heming, Moore and the girls were part of a large party at Parc on Rittenhouse Square Friday night. Willis and Heming dined there the night before as well.
On Saturday night Kutcher and Rumer, who turned 21 Aug. 16, went for appetizers and drinks at Ladder 15 (1528 Sansom) and Sunday morning Willis, Heming and Rumer brunched on pancakes and eggs Benedict at Rittenhouse Square staple Rouge.
Sunday night Willis and some family members dined at Smith & Wollensky inside the Rittenhouse Hotel, which is where the family was headquartered during their visit.
Phoenix condo turns office for film
Jack Nicholson and Paul Rudd shot scenes for the annoyingly untitled James L. Brooks comedy last week in unit 1621 of condo building the Phoenix (16th & Arch). The building is the historic former home of the Insurance Company of North America. For the shooting, filmmakers rehabbed a condo to look like a law office.
* Speaking of Nicholson, the
screen legend and a pal went for burgers and truffle fries and sat at a window table at Rouge (205 S. 18th) Sunday afternoon.
Dalembert selling condo for a loss
Sixers center Samuel Dalembert just listed his one-bedroom condo at the Metro Club (8th & Race) on the market, reports Philly.BlockShopper. com. The asking price is $399,900, which is $23,000 less than he bought it for in September 2005, the real-estate- transaction site reports.
Radio report
_ As we told you last week to expect, Tarsha "Jonesy" Jones starts today as the new Power 99 morning host. The former 100.3 The Beat host spent all last week in the morning slot on the Power, which had been trying out different people since July, when it dropped the syndicated Big Boy's Neighborhood show. Jonesy, meanwhile, is also being trailed by a camera crew for a new reality series on BET.
* "Don't sweat it much, I'm not,"
wrote Jody McDonald to fans on his Facebook page over the weekend. As we told you on PhillyGossip.com Friday, the 950 ESPN host, better known as Jody Mac, revealed at the end of his Friday show that it was his last and that the "radio station had decided to go in a different direction." On his Facebook message, Jody Mac wrote that he "knew it was coming and wasn't all that moved to stick around anymore anyway."
McDonald said that other than talking with Philly sports fans and sharing laughs with co-host Harry Mayes, there was "nothing I'm going to miss working there." He still hosts from 4 to 6 p.m. weekdays on Sirius XM 210 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekends on 1050 or 1040 ESPN, depending on where you are listening.
Jody Mac, a former 610 WIP host who had been with 950 for four years, since it came on as Sports Talk 950 AM, thanked Bob DeBlois, John Fullam and other radio execs who helped bring him back to the Philadelphia airwaves.
"Jody has been one of the keys to the station's success and we thank him for his many contributions," program director Matt Nahigian said in a statement.
Mayes, now paired with Dan Schwartzman, will remain on the 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. time slot. Since Schwartzman previously hosted nights, there's now a vacancy. Nahigian says that the station will announce details soon.

_ Eagles Mike Patterson, Juqua Parker, Reggie Brown and Victor Abiamiri were among the crowd taking in R&B singer Mya's performance at Dusk inside Caesars in Atlantic City Friday night. So did the just-released A.J. Feeley.
