While Larry Mendte and Alycia Lane can no longer be seen from CBS 3, they still appear side-by-side as caricatures among the famous faces at the Palm steakhouse at the Bellevue, as City Paper's Molly Eichel observed and reported at citypaper.net.
Colby Colb's YouTube farewell
Colby Colb, who was recently relieved of his host and program-director duties at 100.3 the Beat, has posted a YouTube video to say goodbye and thanks to his fans. "I've always had a close connection with my listeners, so I encourage them to view the video and stay in touch," says Colb, aka Colby Tyner, who plans to write screenplays in his newfound free time. Spielberg donates $1 million
One million dollars is the figure that Steven Spielberg has pledged to the National Museum of American Jewish History, a museum spokesman confirmed yesterday. In yesterday's column, we reported that the filmmaker's foundation, Righteous Persons, confirmed he would be making a significant contribution but wouldn't yet reveal the amount.
Hoping to outchomp Chestnut
Local eaters "Humble" Bob Shoudt, Eric "Badlands" Booker and Patrick Philbin will try to take the coveted Mustard Yellow Belt from San Jose, Calif.'s Joey Chestnut, the reigning champion of 610 WIP's Wing Bowl, on Friday at the 93rd Annual Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island.

MyFoxPhilly.com, Fox 29's Web site, will stream the wedding of Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross impersonators Ralph Archbold and Linda Wilde at 8 p.m. Thursday at Independence Hall in a ceremony officiated by Mayor Nutter. "Ben and Betsy decided they'd steal our thunder with their own marriage," jokes Brad Maule of PhillySkyline.com who, on Thursday afternoon, will marry Rachel Breeden at City Hall's tower.
