Dan Gross: Back in town, Iverson returns to old haunt
ALLEN IVERSON seems to have missed the Trump Taj Mahal.
And considering the major money he typically bet at his old haunt, the Atlantic City casino's bottom line probably missed him, too.
The Nuggets guard and a crew hit the casino, where Iverson's game of choice is three-card stud poker, late Wednesday night after the former 76ers superstar was warmly welcomed back to town at the Wachovia Center where the Sixers bested the Nuggets.
Iverson and Co. stayed at the Taj Mahal well into Thursday morning, which is fine with the Nuggets, as the team does not have a curfew and also did not have a game until Friday night.
Some rumored changes at WIP
There are hardcore rumors at 610 WIP that nighttime host Glen Macnow will move to middays to cohost with Anthony Gargano. Steve Martorano, who's currently paired with Gargano, is said to be leaving the station for a job outside of radio.
Former Eagle Ike Reese, a frequent WIP guest and longtime friend of the station, is rumored to be taking over Macnow's 7 to 11 p.m. slot. Station manager Marc Rayfield did not reply to e-mails.

The Animal
Cement Mason's Local 592 Business Manager Mike Fera will box retired Philadelphia Phantoms player Frank "The Animal" Bialowas on April 12 at the New Alhambra (Swanson & Ritner). The bout's presented by Joe Hand and starts at 7 p.m. Fera made headlines a couple of years ago when mayoral candidate Sam Katz said that Fera had flashed a gun at him and wife Connie at a political event. Fera vehemently denied the incident.
Tickets are $25 by calling 215-364-9000 or online at JoeHandPromotions.com.
Gators attack Wachovia Center
The Philadelphia Gator Club, the University of Florida's Philly alumni association, will be well represented in the stands of Wednesday's Sixers/Bulls game.
Seventy-five members of the team bought tickets for a game in January to see Florida star Joakim Noah, but he was benched by the Bulls after an argument with a coach.
When Noah learned of the Gator Club showing up for him, he bought tickets for the 75 members and another 25 have since bought tickets for the match-up.
