Dan Gross: Richie Sambora steaks out Morton's

BON JOVI guitarist Richie Sambora spent an extra night in town after the band's sold-out shows at the Wachovia Center. Sambora and some family members took over one of the boardrooms Tuesday night at Morton's (1411 Walnut), where they had lots of filet mignon and lobster tail combos.

One guest asked Sambora for a photo on his way out, and the gracious guitarist happily posed.

Sambora sightings may come more often now that the guitarist has signed an agreement to buy a condo at Two Liberty Place, as the Inqwaster recently reported.

'Dice' returns

to adopted home

Andrew "Dice" Clay will return to town April 3 for a show at Glenside's Keswick Theatre.

Dice, who is engaged to South Philly native Eleanor Kerrigan, has always considered Philly one of his favorite places to perform.

VH1 told us yesterday that there won't be a second season of "Dice Undisputed," the reality show that largely featured the comedian and Kerrigan, a St. Maria Goretti grad, yelling at each other.

Rendell's right hand is fine

We noticed a decent-sized white bandage on the top of Gov. Rendell's right hand Tuesday night as we caught his appearance with Nicetown native Chris Matthews on MSNBC. Rendell, who was in town and appeared on MSNBC by video feed, "had a little blood taken" earlier Tuesday, says his spokesman, Chuck Ardo, who assures that "he's fine."

Book report

Fox 29's Dawn Stensland picked up two copies of Vicki Glembocki's "The Second Nine Months: One Woman Tells the Real Truth about Becoming a Mom. Finally," Tuesday night at a book party at Marathon Grill (10th & Walnut) celebrating the Philadelphia magazine writer-at-large.

'Wild Thing' pre-gaming Phillies

Salsa-maker and former Phillies hurler Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams will host a pre-game show for the Big Talker 1210-AM to air before Phillies games Mondays through Thursdays. The first episode of the show is at 2 p.m. March 31. The show starts an hour before the games. Williams will continue as a member of the 610 WIP morning show crew and as a Phillies post game analyst on Comcast SportsNet.

* Speaking of SportsNet, Marshall Harris starts there March 14. He comes from Fox Sports Pittsburgh where he was an anchor/reporter since 2005.

Local artist is 'Martha' guest

Leah Macdonald, of Waxworks Photo, just taped a segment for an upcoming episode of "The Martha Stewart Show" in which Macdonald teaches the domestic doyenne her process of encaustic painting, covering a photo in wax to create a unique design. Macdonald and Susan Beard are partners in Waxworks, online at waxworksphoto.com. Macdonald's segment is currently slated to air on "Martha" in May. *
