Heavy rain is in the forecast for Friday, and the National Weather Service has issued a flood-watch and high-wind warning, which is expected to make driving difficult, especially on bridges and overpasses.

The high-wind warning remains in effect from 2 p.m. to midnight, with west to northwest winds at 20 to 30 mph and gusts of up to 60 mph.

Widespread power outages are possible. Downed trees and tree limbs may damage vehicles and other structures.

One to two inches of rain is possible from early morning to mid-afternoon.

A flood-watch is in effect through Saturday for South Jersey and Philadelphia, Chester, Bucks, Delaware and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania.

Due to the snowmelt and thunderstorms, flooding is probable along smaller creeks and streams in areas of poor drainage and less likely to occur along the Delaware, Lehigh or Schuylkill rivers.

More rain is expected Sunday and Monday.
