A 30-year-old woman has been arrested in the shooting of her boyfriend outside Jefferson Torresdale Hospital’s emergency room, police said Thursday, one of two partner shootings in the city in less than 12 hours.

The woman’s name was not immediately released, pending formal filing of charges.

Police said the woman and her 30-year-old boyfriend had argued via text Wednesday before he went to Jefferson Torresdale to visit a family member.

When the man came outside about 10 p.m., he saw his girlfriend sitting in a Lincoln MKZ, police said. As he approached the vehicle, the driver’s door opened and the woman fired four shots, hitting the victim once in his back.

The woman sped off as the man ran to the emergency room, police said. The victim was reported in stable condition.

The shooting was caught on surveillance video and the victim provided police with his girlfriend’s name, address, and vehicle information, Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

In a separate incident, a 36-year-old man shot and killed his 23-year-old former girlfriend Thursday morning before turning the gun on himself and shooting a bullet into his head in North Philadelphia’s Ludlow section, police said.

The shooting occurred inside a residence on the 2300 block of North Leithgow Street. The woman and the man were pronounced dead at the scene at 8:55 a.m. Their names were not immediately released.
