Mario D. Nicolai is one of this year’s 11 winners of the PNC Performance Award, the highest honor given to employees by The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE: PNC)
The award program, now in its 17th year, recognizes PNC employees who demonstrate a pattern of significant achievement and deliver a consistent level of extraordinary performance. An election committee comprised of past winners and executives throughout PNC chose this year’s honorees from among 58,000 employees across the country and abroad.
Nicolai, of South Philadelphia, is vice president managing PNC’s bank operations group for the eastern region. He has been with PNC for 13 years, and is involved in the community as treasurer in a bocce social club and as lector at his church. He also serves as a volunteer for PNC Grow Up Great activities, his local school and church.
