Star Wars is coming to town Kids Stuff By William Feldman Welcome to Kids Stuff. Today's column includes some laughter, the lighter and fun side of life, a few weekend family fun ideas, plus a cryptogram. This was sent in by Kids Stuff reader Marlyn Sabatino, of Florida. In her e-mail it was rumored that actress/vocalist Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall for the benefit of the AARP. It mentions one of the musical numbers she performed was My Favorite Things from the legendary movie The Sound Of Music. That is exactly what this is: a rumor. Additionally, I checked the info on <http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/music/a/andrews_aarp.htm and it seems to be just that - a legend, meaning not true. Moreover, the lyrics used in place of the accustomed and known lyrics might bring a smile on your face and brighten your day, so I figured I would still print it. Try singing it! Botox and nose drops and needles for knitting, Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings, Bundles of magazines tied up in string, These are a few of my favorite things. Cadillacs and cataracts, hearing aids and glasses, Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses, Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings, These are a few of my favorite things. When the pipes leak, When the bones creak, When the knees go bad, I simply remember my favorite things,
