King Shooters Supply provides knowledgable and full service

When it comes to your shooting and reloading needs, King Shooters Supply, Inc. won’t miss the mark.

King Shooters, located in King of Prussia, is a full-service store stocked with guns, bullets and all the related reloading supplies.

The business covers every type of customers’ needs, whether they are defensive, competitive, hunting or recreational shooters, according to Pat Nelson, vice president of the company.

“Customers range from new shooters — who have never fired a gun or are even afraid of guns — to nationally ranked champions,” she said “Our customers are attorneys, doctors, business owners, retail clerks, office workers, contractors, “Joe the Plumber,” military and law enforcement, retired folk, housewives, even a grave digger!”

Roger Burris founded the business — then known as Better Bullets — in 1986; since its inception, Better Bullets has been a licensed firearms dealer and maintained a retail gun store. In 2003, the business incorporated to King Shooters Supply and moved to a larger location.

In addition to offering a friendly and knowledgeable staff, the company sets itself apart by casting its own alloy bullets, said Nelson.

Tens of thousands of pounds of alloy are used to cast the bullets each month, according to the business’s Web site, www.kingshooters.com. The nationally recognized bullets are available in the King of Prussia store, by mail order or sold by other retailers.

King Shooters Supply also carries a variety of accessories, including holsters, cleaning supplies, parts, safety products, optics, lights, timers, silencers and more.

Burris, an avid shooter since 1984, is an invaluable resource to customers, according to the staff.

“I could sit here all day and listen to Roger,” said Nelson. “He knows more about guns, how they work, which model has which features, what optics with which options — it goes on and on.”

Nelson calls Burris the store’s best salesperson.

“He listens; he’s consultative,” she said. “He provides options and explains the differences.”

Burris is an active participant in the local International Defensive Pistol Association and Pennsylvania Street League Matches. Among his many accreditations and accolades, Burris is a National Rifle Association-certified instructor in four disciplines, certified Glock armorer and instructor, certified SIG armorer and certified IDPA safety officer.

King Shooters Supply maintains strong and supportive ties to the law enforcement community, including the local and county departments.

The company is a member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, National Shooting Sports Foundation, National Association of Firearms Retailers and NRA Business Alliance.
