Wedding and banquets are elegant affairs at Lucien’s Manor

When it comes to your big day, every detail matters.

Knowing this, Lucien’s Manor in Berlin offers experienced service, attentive professionals and breathtaking architecture to make each event one to remember. The premier catering and banquet facility specializes in wedding receptions, but also caters corporate functions, anniversary parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, baby showers and more, said general manager Jake Miller.

The atmosphere inside is European-inspired with Lucien’s “own touch,” he said. Outdoor waterfalls, a marble gazebo, perfectly manicured gardens and a grand staircase in the lobby make for wonderful photo opportunities.

Lucien’s offers four rooms — three of which are ballrooms — that can accommodate between 100 to 550 guests, said Miller.

The Venetian Ballroom — the facility’s newest room — offers pure elegance, according to the facility’s Web site, www.luciensmanor.com. Inspired by the palaces of Italy, the room features a waterfall gently cascading down a tiled wall, ornate crystal chandeliers, 9-foot windows bathing the room in a warm glow and beautiful marbleized columns surrounding a hand-painted faux sky ceiling.

Select rooms feature granite dance floors, and all rooms have fireplaces and introduction staircase for the bride and groom, Miller added.

Lucien’s award-winning planners, trained staff of waitpersons and bartenders, event coordinators and consultants offer the utmost in professional service and pay careful attention to details so the client can enjoy the party, said Miller.

“What sets us apart is the professional service you are going to get from the planning to the reception,” he said.

The facility offers a wide selection of menus, which change regularly, and can custom-design a menu to suit your party.

“We use only top-notch food and our executive chefs are amazing,” said Miller.

Packages include a cocktail hour, sit-down dinner, Viennese sweet table, premium open bar and more.

Lucien’s offers freedom and flexibility not only through its menu, but also with regard to pricing, said the manager.

“The economy is tough, but people are always going to get married,” he said. “We try to find a way to fit your budget; if we can help out in any way, we are more than happy to do so.”

Clients will meet with a wedding consultant and take a tour of the facility.

“They will discuss the number of expected guests, and we’ll give them options as far as packages and pricing,” said Miller.

Family-owned and -operated by the Kolovos and Baroody families, Lucien’s has become a South Jersey landmark.

“This was always the place to be,” said Miller. “People come by and say, ‘I used to eat here for dinner in the ’70s [when it was a restaurant].’”

Lucien’s was renovated “from stud to stud” in 2001, he said, transforming it from a “premier restaurant [to a] premier catering facility.”

Lucien’s offers “off-peak pricing” and specials on Friday and Sunday events. Open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the facility accepts walks-ins and appointments. For more information, call 856-768-9444.
