Police are looking for one suspect in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man Thursday evening not far from his home in Philadelphia's Kensington section.

Officers responding to a call for a shooting on the 3100 block of Custer Street about 6:20 p.m. found Jahlil Mitchell with multiple bullet wounds to the torso in a store on the 3000 block of Potter Street.

Police took him to Temple University Hospital, but Mitchell, of the 3200 block of Potter Street, was pronounced dead at 7:29 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Mitchell was shot on the corner of Custer and Clearfield streets and ran to the store before collapsing, police said.

Based on witnesses and video, police said they were looking for one man in the shooting. A motive is not yet known.

As with any homicide in the city, a $20,000 reward is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer.
