Man, 32, fatally shot in Kensington

A 32-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday evening in Kensington, police said.

Shortly before 6 p.m. in the 3400 block of North Water Street, the victim was outside when he was shot three times in the chest, once in the back, and once in the left shoulder. Medics took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:13.

The victim was identified Thursday as Kenneth Griffin of Mayfair.

Police said a firearm was found at the scene, but no other details were made available.
